AHA Governing Committee Elections are now closed

If you’re an AHA member, please take a minute to cast your vote in the Governing Committee Election at http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/community/news/show?title=vote-for-your-aha-governing-committee .

These people are YOUR representatives with the AHA.  Make your voice heard!

Done!

Thanks for the reminder. Done!

In true, 1800’s style stumping I promise to buy every one of my voters a beer… from my keg… when I see you and have one on me!

I’ll be right over

You gotta get better at your stumping timing, I voted Sunday right after Denny posted.

Me too, but I would take some “Yeast Samples”.

Zaphod Beeblebrox for galactic president.

Oh wait, he already is, never mind.

Done Deal!  Looking forward to that free beer now…  ;D

did my voting a week ago…
On to brewing!

Making 10 gal of pre-prohibition pilsner (first ever attempt at this style).
Will be racking 5 gal of Vienna lager to secondary and will use the yeast cake (cry havoc).
also will be kegging some Hazelnut Latte Stout (and adding the cold steeped coffee and hazelnut).

If we don’t know any of the people, how can we make a decision?  Aren’t they all supporting homebrewers, trying to legalizing the craft where it needs, broaden some of the current laws to favor homebrewing, shipping issues, etc. etc?  I understand that it has to have some sort of voting or it doesn’t meet certain legal requirements but… so help me out here… what are the issues and why should I vote for one person over another?

Listen last episodes of Brewing Network Session podcast.
Most of the people were interviewed there.

Yeah…some guy named Drew was on there…sounded a little shady to me.  ;D

Just kidding…

I have dialup… it loads too slow and is broken into short blurbs… its irritating and a waste of time in my situation.  Sometimes it won’t even load.  ::slight_smile:

Did you read the profiles they put up here:

http://www.homebrewersassociation.org/pages/community/news/show?title=vote-for-your-aha-governing-committee

Are you kidding me? I know the guy pretty well. He’s damn shady! But isn’t that what we need in a politician?

Dean’s absolutely right in one regard - everyone who’s running is dedicated to this crazy little dance we do and that’s great. No matter the outcome of the elections this year, I hope that the AHA can find a way to harness it all and keep us moving forward.

Not sure where you live and what is your situation but if you have library anywhere close by you probably could download file there and take it home.

To be honest, I’d just feel bad if I cast a vote without knowing why I voted for any one person in particular.  I’m sure each person would be as good a choice as any other.  Maybe next time.

Dean, everyone’s statements and bios are available online.  What more do you need?

I think a televised debate would be nice  ;D
