Question: Is it not by region anymore? Thanks!

AHA Board/Governing Committee hasn’t ever had representation by region, at least in the 27 years I’ve been around the org. However, the BJCP has had regional representatives for that long at least.

Wow! There are a ton of very capable and qualified candidates in there. It’s a shame that over half of them won’t be making the cut.

It would be nice if the voting website would not require me to renew my membership when my membership is still active.

OK - I must’ve confused the two.

Hi! Please consider voting for me for AHA Board.
I volunteered to help on a committee for the new AHA, and ended up being chair of the HBC 2026 Committee. The staff and volunteers are getting the hang of working together (only since October) and are moving forward towards our goal of having a great Homebrew Con 2026 in Asheville, NC.

I am running for the board as kind of a “regular” guy. I love brewing beer, gluten-free beer (for my Celiac family members) mead and cider. I am a true hophead-but brew all styles. I started out brewing as a dissillusioned 20 year old, thinking, is all beer like Miller lite? Fortunately not!! Forty years later the equipment and ingredients are so good, making an homage or tinkering with a recipe is a fun challenge.

I have entered NHC a few times, don’t have any medals to show for my efforts, but did win my club’s Big brew day and did get to brew a pro-Am with Paul at Well 80 in Olympia, WA. As club president and officer of South Sound Suds Society, we have grown our club by offering educational topics and projects (barrel aged brews). I want to get clubs more involved with each other regionally to have a good time, share, and learn. I’ve attended a regional event called Beerstock the last four years and it is a blast! ‘

So, as a shameless plea, Please Vote for Me for the AHA Board. I’ll do my best to represent you as a member, passionately enjoying fermenting tasty stuff along with you. Thanks! Dave Losh
