Avery Brewing

I was in Boulder over Labor Day weekend for some Phish shows and stopped at Avery Brewing for lunch one day.  You can just walk around the brewery while having a beer on these overhead walkways, which is pretty cool.

Here are a few pictures.  You can’t see the grain sacks very clearly, but there was black malt, Dingemans cara 20 and 45, and Weyermann rye and acid malt.

Awesome pics. Thanks for posting!

it is a beautiful facility.  fresh avery IPA on tap is otherworldly.  did you get a chance to eat there? I thought the restaurant was outstanding too!

Yeah, we had lunch there; the food was great.

I saw when I pulled up your response, that you did mention that in the OP.  I only saw the pics originally. my bad.

Looks awesome.  I had Avery on my Colorado list but we didn’t make it to Boulder.  Got out to Fort Collins for New Belgium and then Longmont for Left Hand.  Oh well, just means I need to go back.

That reminds me a lot of the Redhook tour… a high balcony overlooking the whole brewing and packaging area.

Never been a fan of Avery but I am also not into really big beers like they are known for. Visited there and about 20 other breweries in North Boulder, Fort Collins, & Longmont a few weeks ago. Odell was my favorite of the trip.

Avery was definitely impressive however I was there late and it was packed beyond belief. Kind of skewed my experience. Food was good.

I’m not a fan of the big and huge beers usually distributed to MI. Last April we were there while touring with friends in the area. The Pilsner was good, so good I had two. This is after several other places, and it was the last stop of the day. We were out side, and it was crowded due to nice sunny weather. The other customers were all good, and the staff was excellent. My option of Avery had a positive change that day.
