BA letter to Peyton

Interestingly, that same trend is repeated in my area. The Bud distributor seems to do a good job of keeping fresh craft beer on the shelves. The Miller distributor seems to buy beer in large lots, and doesn’t buy more till that all sells. The result is beer several months older than the drink by date on shelves from a brewery 1.5 hours away.

As for Peyton, who cares? I think the whole thing is yet another case of people caring too much about one person says. But don’t mind me, I’m getting more and more fed up with the NFL in general, and spent superbowl Sunday counting down the days to opening day.

Agreed…not to mention, it’s just beer.  I think some people take it way too seriously.

Truck day in Boston yesterday…they are on their way!!!

Yeah the O’s headed south a couple days ago.

Going to have to see if I can get tickets to an O’s/Red Sox game this year to see Ortiz again before he retires.

I thought about a trip down there to see the Sox play them, but all their games in Baltimore are during the week.

Since we’ve derailed… We are going down to Jupiter, FL to see my beloved Cardinals in Spring Training!!! Ahhh I’m so excited.

There is nothing wrong with Budweiser.  I am amazed on how many beer snobs are in uproar over this.

If I had played in a major sporting event, totally exhausted, somewhat dehydrated, and knowing I do not have to be ready for another game next week, I would go for a major factory beer like Coors, Bud, or PBR over an IPA or a Scottish ale any day. And drink heavily.

Now, if Peyton would have said Bud Light, then he would totally be a corporate shill and deserved of all the scorn heaped upon him.  ;D

If I was thirsty enough and someone handed me a Bud I’d be thankful and drink it. But I’d prefer a real Helles, Pils or Kolsch. And then after one or two of those I’d be ready for that IPA.

You are all so naive.  “Budweiser” is street slang for HGH.

This^

I think we’re going to need a baseball thread.

Yeah, usually O’s/Red Sox games at Camden Yards are a lot of fun. It’s a much more good-natured rivalry that both teams have with the Yankees. I was at the game when Ramirez hit number 500, that was a blast even though the O’s lost. The line for Boog’s was to the other end of Eutaw street and back, almost all Sox fans.

LOL.

It will be interesting to see how the Cubs handle being favorites to win. Being a Cubs fan, I expect an implosion by July ::slight_smile:

I got my Baseball Prospectus last week, and the section on the Cubs was the most happiness inducing thing I have ever read. However, I will continue to expect the worse until I am proven wrong.

A Sox-O’s game in Camden Yards is on my list, too. Everyone I know who has gone down there for a game has nothing but good things to say. Once upon a time, it was cheaper to buy round-trip airfare, get a hotel room, and see a few games in Baltimore, than it was to get Sox tickets in Fenway. Every game was sold out as soon as they went on sale and you had no choice but to go through a ticket agency and pay 2-3 times the face value. Different story recently, though. Now I see deals for free parking with tickets and other incentives because they can barely give tickets away.
