Been gone for about 10 years...

I’m jumping back in.  I’m gonna start with one liquid malt recipe and go right back into all grain… except now I have a burr mill with a 1.5 hp motor on it.  LOL!  It does an Awesome job grinding my pig feed.  ;)  Big… Really Big beers in my future once I get my mashtun the way I want it.  Can’t remember all the names of folks anymore except Denny of course…is he still kicking around?  I’m gonna be looking for some Big recipes, seems to me there was someone in Michigan that specialized in Big Beers?

Welcome back! Denny is still hanging around. He has a couple of books out and a podcast, all partnering with Drew Beechum.

Welcome back. I took about 20 yrs off once myself. …though I don’t brew big beers.  It will be interesting to hear what changes you notice in process, equipment availability, products, etc.

Denny seems to be barely alive…

Hey, another day above ground is always a good one!!

Like my boss says, “Upright with a pulse.”

We say “I ain’t breathing dirt”. LOL

Everyday above ground is a Good Day!  Lol!  Gosh don’t know where to start… maybe my I went by… DeanD?  Can’t remember… typical.  Lol!  Drinking a Ranger VooDoo right now… they copied MY beer.  Lol!

So now I have most of my equipment still but have to buy a few things.  Got this old burr mill that will easily grind a couple hundred an hour… LOL!  Anywho… I’m thinking I should do what I LIKE to do while I still can.  I like to brew and I like to drink my brews soo… :D  Whatever happened to the Bama brewer, can’t remember his name either but he started a brewery in Alabama last I knew… YellowHammer beer was one of his brews.  Good guy, helped me make my first Kolsch, turned out great.  Still wanna know who the BIG Beer brewer was in Michigan though… kinda wanting to go that direction… at least a good portion of it I think.

Bought a book from Drew… signed copy.  I’m sure he was just placating me though.  Lol!

Majorvices

He’s still around; he’s actually a mod here.

I believe Fred Bonjour is the guy you’re remembering.

Yeah, that’s Fred. He doesn’t post much these days.

Welcome back! (they always come back  ) I just started brewing about March of this year after a 9 year hiatus. I didn’t ease back in with an extract batch though… my return was precipitated by a friend offering me a complete three kettle brew system at a price I couldn’t refuse. My first batch… Denny Conn’s Rye IPA of course.  ;D

Could it be MullerBrau?  I’m not sure where he’s at, but he brews a lot of big beers too.

I remember Fred did an Imperial Barleywine or something like that.  Crazy big.
