Bottle bombs

So I’ve bottled a 1 gallon IPA that fermented for 1.5 weeks (didn’t bother checking numbers bc of volume loss), no airlock activity, etc.

While I’m not too concerned, there is part of me that doesn’t want to see 22 oz. bottles explode. Any advice, how often does this happen?

Rarely based on your intel. Ah I see the homebrewer in you! I’m about to keg after 10 days from pitching because I’m in a hurry. No gravity measurements taken…

You’ll probably be able to pop one in the fridge in a couple days.

yeah, your good. wait a week (riiiiiiight, how bout three days?) pop one in the fridge for a couple hours and give it a taste. if it’s not carbed enough wait another 3 days if it’s good pop the rest in the fridge too. even if they would have gotten over carbed they won’t once there cold. at least not fast enough to cause a problem before their gone.
