Do you know where you will be heading?
Yes, sorry.
San Francisco
Monterey
Morro Bay
Ridgecrest
Furnace Creek
Mammoth Lakes
Mariposa
Sacramento
Santa Rosa
San Francisco
Near Santa Rosa you can also visit Lagunitas.
At Moro Bay you will not be too far from Firestone Walker.
In SF, I would make a stop at Toronado in the Lower Haight. It is a classic, cash only.
Furnace Creek is in Death Valley, and not much in the way of beer there. On the west side of the Park, we recently spent a night at Panamint Springs Resort. Accomadations are basic, but the restaurant bar had 10 craft taps and several coolers full of craft beer.
Sante Adairius, in Capitola (Santa Cruz, basically) is on your way to Monterey from San Francisco traveling on Highway 1/101. If you are truly beer-centric while in San Francisco, try to book a tour at Anchor. Short of that, 21st Amendment is a good bet. Cheers!
Cellar maker in SF
Rare Barrel and Fieldwork in Berkeley.
Thank you all! Fantastic… 8)
Hit libertine in Morro Bay, three stacks and a rock is new in Morro, when will you be in SLO county? Firestone Walker in Paso, Mammoth lakes, 21st amendment in San Francisco. Russian River and bear republic in Santa Rosa. Indian wells near Ridgecrest.
+1 on the Anchor tour, it’s really cool. It fills up well in advance, so check their web site for when you can call.
