Cam lock QD vs Ball lock style quick disconnect

Just got a brewing pump and wanted some advice on which style quick disconnect to use and why? Seems like cam lock style is less expensive, uniformly made by different manufacturers, but may be harder to use. Ball lock seem more expensive, are not universally made, but seem easier to use.

Any other pros and cons? Do either seal better? Better in the long run?

Cam and grove is not hard to use. I can operate a 1/2” fitting one handed.

I’ve used stainless steel cam lock fittings for a long time.  You can buy them online very inexpensively. I buy most of my brew fittings from Duda online, although this forum may know of a better source.  camlock hose barb | Duda Diesel Alternative Energy, Chemicals & Industrial Supply Store

They’re easy to manipulate one handed like William says, they’re easy to clean, they are simple, and they just laugh at heat.  The cam levers are long enough that your fingers aren’t in jeopardy of being doused with boiling liquid.

The only negative I can think of with cam locks is that they can get hot but outside of that I love mine.
