Colorado Springs

Hello All,

I am in Colorado springs for the next 4 weeks or so for work. Is there any cant-miss places I should hit (breweries or beer bars)? I think I might take a Saturday and run up to Denver to hit Falling Rock again.

Also, if anyone wants to meet up for a beer (I know there are quite a few of you out here), I am up, give me time, date and place, and I can be there (I schedule my own work, so I can schedule around beer).

I am sorry that you are stuck in Colorado Springs…  :-\

I honestly have not been to any breweries down there but have heard Bristol is pretty cool.

Bristol, Tinity, Phantom Canyon, Red Leg and Pikes Peak in Monument.

If you like German style beers, Prost in Denver is a must.

There is also BierWerks in Woodland Park 30 minutes away from the Springs. I cannot speak to how good it is so I realize this is not very useful…

If you go to Prost I would suggest hitting Amato’s Ale House which is right around the corner. Very good selection of craft beer. Denver Beer Co is a short walk across the highway from both. I find their beer to be inconsistent and strange most of the time…

I work at Phantom  Canyon in the Springs. Shoot me a PM if you want to come by, I’ll give you a tour. (if I am not super busy) Great Storm is another not to miss joint. Trinity, and Red Leg are pretty damn good too. This Saturday, the 24th, is the Rendezvous at the Rock in Castle Rock. 30 breweries, food, live music, good stuff. Www.attherock.net

Never been to the Springs, but I really want to check out Trinity. I tried their Berliner weisse the other night and almost jumped in my car to drive down there. Then I realized it was 10p on Sunday and I live over an hour away…

I have to also recommend Trinity.  They are making some really interesting beers, although it’s in kind of a small, odd space in the corner of a shopping center.

Trinity makes some tasty beers.

I would try very hard to go to Paradox in Woodland Park.  I had their beer at the South Denver Beer fest, and it was hands down, the best beer there.  They have very creative and well made beers.
