I’m ‘considering’ using it in the new mash tun instead of the old solder sweat method.
What are you going to use it for in a mash-tun?
I was going to use it for the joints of a heat manifold in a new mash tun I’m building. However, I subsequently decided to do it the old fashioned way and silver solder the joints. I’ll post some pics in the “Equipment” section. The heat manifold is to keep the mash temps absolutely rock solid for the duration OR to step mash if the need arises . .
I presume the solder was lead free.
Indeed . . Just like my gasoline! Picked it up in the plumbing department at Lowe’s last year. I wish I had some Stay-Brite 8 low temp silver though. :-\
