Crowdsourced BJCP Beer Style Guidelines to be released soon

The Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP), stung by criticism that the recent update to their Beer Style Guidelines did not sufficiently take into account feedback from homebrewers, has announced that their next update has been crowdsourced. According to BJCP spokesperson Armstrong Gordon, this has allowed everyone to freely express their opinions and have them incorporated into the new guidelines. It has resulted in significant restructuring of the major beer styles and sub-styles, but should better reflect the tastes of the public. The restructuring is still in progress and will take considerable time, so the only detail to be publicly released at this time is that one of the new styles will be called Malty McMalt Mouth.

Just kidding. Happy April Fool’s Day!

Crowdsourcing of this might actually be an interesting concept.  I might on board to help out, if such thing ever were started up.  BJCP doesn’t listen to peons.  I might be Certifiable, but I’ll never be in the Club of higher-ups.  My opinions stink too much.

Cheers.

They kinda pretend like this is true.

Perfectly Average Style Guidelines might be an interesting thread.

Anybody got a spare server that could run a wiki?
