Do the exhibitors/vendors at NHC generally have equipment or ingredients available for sale? Specifically, am I likely to be able to pick up a sack of grain and a few packs of yeast? Or is it mostly just stuff to look at?

From my experience it is stuff to look at.
If you are there at the right times hop samples and swag are on the table for the taking.
This year there were a few vendors selling stuff. I bought a newly designed plastic conical fermenter and I know another booth was selling beer glasses. Plus quite a few selling shirts, etc.
Of course the Brewers Publication stand has always had books for sale, and AHA shirts and hats. How could I forget that?
The Sabco rep was ready to order me a Uhaul ;D
He was raring to sell that unit. I told him I would love to have one but I already have a Brutus 10 clone. I think the price is going from $5995 to $6995 in two weeks.
