Everything goes with beer!

Nuff said?

Hear! Hear!

Yeah, I looked at this new category with no posts yet and was going post the same thing!

there are two food groups, and only two,

Food that is cooked with beer and, . . .

Food that goes with beer.

Fred

Sorry, man, there’s also your chocolate group and your pepperoni group!

Almost,

The choclate group GOES WITH stouts and porters, and the pepperoni group GOES WITH IPA

Fred  ;D

They still all go with beer.

Beer man, …beer.

All-time best food to eat with beer: Pretzels.

No need to comment. 'Nuff said.

But there is most definatly a bacon group.

It’s hard to sit on the coach with a bag of bacon though.

But just imagine if you could …  :o

Pretzels sound pretty freaking awesome right now.  The fresh soft kind of course.

I think its less that everything goes with beer…more like beer goes with everything.

Although there are some foods that pair more readily with non-beer beverages in my view.  With chocolate chip cookies, milk leads the way.  With many mediterranean and Italian dishes, beer will work but wine pairs better.  And some kinds of Thai dishes I foolishly order so unbelievably spicy that cold water or milk are about the only option for me!

Pizza and Beer

Beer nutz!

I think I am the only person in the world that doesn’t like pizza and beer together. I love each on their own but not together. I’ll drink beer with about everything else though.

Wow…what a way to go! 8)

February brewclub meeting (yeah, its the week of Valentines day) one of our members is doing a presentation on beer and chocolate with pairings.

“Honey, look at all this wonderfull beer I have for tonight!”

Yes, I will have a fresh batch of BVIP for him to use as he sees fit

Though I am biased beer really does go so much better with food.
Sadly, the general public may never be educated on this to the level that they should be.

Lately, when we do get the chance ( kids are 4 and 7)  to go out to eat I look for beer menu first.

Luckily, we have these places fairly close by:

The one in Walpole is top-notch.

I will say this…the day my beer smells like shoes is the day I’m retiring.  ;D

Believe it or not, pickled eggs goes well with beer, depending on the recipe or your tastes.   :stuck_out_tongue:  Everything goes with beer…  :D

It can be an explosive and foul for some people too though.  :o  :D
Hot and Spicey pickled eggs with an IPA…  ;D

Just made 5 dozen pickled eggs last night;  5 cans of beets with their juice mixed with distilled vinegar and sugar to taste, added half a pint of pickled sliced jalepinos.  ;D  They go great with an IPA.

I had to chuckle when read this.  I always eat the jalapenos first.  ;D
