I’m getting ready to convert my Amana SZD20MW into a keggerator but am having a heck of a time finding info about the model before I start drilling holes all over the place.
Any of you folks use a similar or same model with any insight into the location of freon lines, etc? Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

GENERALLY if the walls have tubes in them they are in the center of the wall, unlike a FREEZER where the wall is part of the tube. (NEVER DRILL IN A FREEZER… :
)
So, I have successfully drilled a very small shallow hole in the fridge wall, then poked around in it to find nothing.
Be carefull drilling into the side of a fridge because I ruined one by just nicking a line

I saw a video on youtube where a guy mixed corn-starch with alcohol into a thin slurry and painted it onto the top of the fridge. It collects where the lines are. That way he knew where to drill for the tower.

This could work out for me. I’d like the taps in the door and the CO2 accessible for the outside is possible.
get a laser temperature gun and make the fridge run. You will see higher temperatures where the tubes are …dont drill there. Also, do not drill near the front of the fridge. The edge by the door seals has tubes that kep the door from frosting.

Also, I have just pierced the plastic with a drill and used a paperclip to probe from the hole.
