GABF Ticket Sales/Swaps

So I guess I’ll start this one off…

Would anybody be willing to trade their 2 Saturday afternoon (12:00PM) tickets for my 2 Saturday evening (5:30PM) tickets?  I mistakenly bought tickets for the wrong Saturday session and am separated from the rest of my group. PM me if interested.  Thanks!

I am a ten-year-plus member of AHA and have been going to GABF since the early 90’s at Currigan Hall.  Used to play the pipes at the festival with Centennial State Pipes and Drums in exchange for a tasting glass (our fourth set of the evening was always a bit loose…)!  Every session got glass tasting glasses back then…

Managed to miss the window, and desperately seeking two tix for the Saturday noon session. Please let me know if you can spare yours.  If you like, I can throw in a 1994 or 1995 GABF tasting glass as a thank you, in addition to face value.

Best,
Ben

I’m looking for 2 tickets to the Farm to Table Friday night. It sold out fast.

What other food is available?

I like many others am looking for 2 Saturday afternoon tickets if anyone ends up having extras.  Missed out on initial sale.

I am (also) looking for two tickets to the Saturday members-only event starting at noon. Please email me if you have any tix for sale. Thanks in advance!

Dan

EDIT: Grammar

I was able to get one for myself but need one for my wife as well (happens to be her birthday the day before and I will be in some trouble if I go all alone). Anyone with just one ticket they are willing to part with for a fair price?? Email me if you can!

I’ll add to the swap meet.  I got 1 ticket to teh Thursday evening Farm to Table.  I would love to buy another, or I would be willing to sell my one as well (or trade for a couple regular thursday evening tix).  Thanks!

It appears as if 175 of these tickets are already listed on Stubhub, starting at $149/each…no member’s session, though.

Looks like members only (noon on Saturday) are listed on stub hub now too.  Looks like they will run $298-550 each.  This is a shame.

Could you provide a link?  I just looked and couldn’t find them.

Thanks.  I’ve sent that on to the AHA, although I don’t know if there’s anything they can do.

I doubt there is much they can do.  It’s just like the craft beer black market.  People buy the beer and sell it for so much more on ebay that the brewers are starting to notice that they can get more and more and more for their product so why not charge and get the profits rather than letting some random guy get the profits.

If you think about it, this is the superbowl of beer.

The same thing happens during other large events–scalpers flock.

Not quite sure what they could do to fight it.

Member’s only tickets tied to the actually account and checked at the door…although I imagine it would be a nightmare logistically.

All I can say is Rule #1 of the Brewer’s Code:  Don’t be a d**k.

I still see this being and issue, as there are 34k members. (according to numbers from AHA and BA)

You’re correct…the reply was that realistically there’s nothing they can do.

Tickermaster’s system should have a record of the AHA membership number tied to the ticket numbers.  I dont think it’s too much to ask to have to furnish the corresponding membership card with the ticket at the door.  After all, this is the members only session…

I have tickets for the GABF but unfortunately can not attend this year. I am not looking to make money, just want to sell at face value. Tickets are as follows:

2 Friday Member GABF tickets plus farm to table.        $120.00 x 2
            2 Sat. Eve Member GABF tickets.                              $65.00 x 2

These member tickets are transferrable per the Homebrewers Association. Please message me if you are interested!

I’m looking to trade a Saturday evening session ticket for a Friday evening ticket if anyone is interested!  I’m also looking to buy an additional Friday evening session ticket.

Thanks!
