Happy T-Day everyone!

If you’re like me you’re sittin out by the cooker watching a thermometer. Ham and turkey!

Just set my challah dough aside to rise. I wish I would’ve planned ahead and smoked our turkey breast.

What is too early to start sipping beer?

On turkey day it is never too early to start sipping on some beer. Especially if you are prepping the food. Woke up with a session porter this morning.

+1 oatmeal stout for breakfast.

Happy Turkey Day All!

I just cracked open my first beer and sitting down for as few minutes to rest a back injury I suffered a week ago. Got cornbread dressing in oven, mushroom gravy on stove and boiling water for baked Mac and Cheese. Still have fresh herbs in garden (rosemary and thyme).

This is one of my favorite days of the year. Hope every one has a good one!

In my place first beer o’ the day was 11am. Smoked turkey and everything else is done. The rest of the day is about family, football and beer here. Gotta love it! Have a great day everybody.

Us Europeans, we don’t believe in all that T-stuff. We think it’s nothing but superstition :stuck_out_tongue:

Cheers!  Cracked my first one at 10 AM - a spiced winter ale.

Just pulled my challah rolls from the oven and poured me an Anchor Christmas.

Also made sandwich rolls for the left overs.

Hahaha, happy thanksgiving! I’ll just have a gueuze Girardin to celebrate that I’m Belgian.

Killer looking bread and rolls.

In a lot of ways you could say Thanksgiving is us celebrating we are no longer European.

I checked you out. You are a peanut butter lover. We hold peanut butter lovers in low esteem.

I do love peanut butter. Just not in my beer.

I’m sure you don’t want me to comment on that

BTW, we also don’t believe in Black Friday.

On that you have solid agreement from me. I won’t be buying anything today. In fact I’m already at work.

Been a great holiday weekend so far. The Thanksgiving dinner was great. My wife and I cooked a helluva good meal. The brined smoked turkey was excellent. We only had a few family members over this year due to conflicting schedules and it made the day a lot more relaxed.
Capped it off today by going to Lucas Oil Stadium to see the state high school football championships. My wife teaches at the high school in the town we live in and the school’s football team got to play for the championship at Lucas Oil tonight and shredded the opposition 77-42, smashing a bunch of state offensive records. Our 2nd year coach played O-line in the NFL for a couple teams and has done an amazing job in 2 years (obviously). Which also means it could be tough to keep him for long.
Regardless, settling in for a nightcap with some home brews and a little Knob Creek. Could be worse  ;).

77-42? I guess neither team has a solid defense. Pretty awesome stadium.

Yeah, beautiful stadium. Actually our team led the state in most points scored and fewest given up all year. The opponent’s offense was no joke though. It was like a real life Madden game. Really fun.
