Homebrewing ad on NFL Network

Just caught a homebrewing product ad on NFL Network. Exciting to see homebrewing promotion at this level. Anyone else catch this?

The Pinter makes beer, but it’s barely the edge of “homebrewing”. It’s sort of like for people who want to pretend to make their own beer… but not really. Pinter gives these things away free like they are giving out candy. Amazing that they have any money left. The owner must be rich.

Is this along the same lines as what Ben was saying? Am I going to be flagged and hidden as well?

This is just my opinion, don’t assume I have inside info or even facts.

When I saw this the first time my only thought was “The Kuerig of beer”. I assume their money is made on their kits and the equipment is disposable.

This may not be a bad thing but Mr. beer has been in this game much longer and others have come and gone and didn’t last.

I wish them good luck. I don’t expect them to be here long term.

I’m sure why my post was removed, it was a pretty mild statement.

Say anything you want on AHA Forum as long as it is within the rules.

I do wonder how many will see the ad, purchase the item or purchase the item as a gift. Then, after the first “brew day”, the item is never touched again as the “beer” is awful.

These things may actually have a negative/detrimental impact on the hobby.

Kinda reminds me of grocery stores with out-of-date imported beers.

I have one of these. The kits they provide are lousy in my opinion. But it is great if you make you own wort. I brew small batches and it is perfect for 1.5-2 gallons. No need to do transfers or bottle or keg. Super convenient.

Technically you void the warranty as soon as you deviate from their premade kits.

FREE BEER!

… machine? Nevermind
