This is closer to say Elizibethan English where spelling took a backseat to phonetics (so to speak) and spelling became much more important when the modern language was standardized.
To me mispelling modern English is like fingernails screeching on a blackboard. Grammatical mistakes are more forgivable but mispelling online is not when we have the ubiquitous spellcheck. I can tell more people are posting from their phones as aurocorrect seems to cause plenty of out of syntax mistakes.
I hate mispelling also; it gripes my a$$. Grammatical mistakes happen too but that is the current state of our education system. I posted this as an amusement.
Out of respect to the Major, The Tubercle will attempt to refrain.
Acutally I will lose all that fancy bookin’ what was learnt up in that there uppity college I attended and commence to a’speakin’ and a’spellin’ like a true South Carolinean ought to.
I am taking a break from reviewing the transcipts of a deposition I gave.
I remember the whole deposition very well (all six hours). It is really intersting to see how often my thoughts out-paced my words. I thought I was a better speaker than that.
