Verlander was doing good, but was definitely getting tired by the end of the 6th. Too bad the closing pitchers couldn’t close. It was a good game! Until the Tigers lost. :o You would think I would be used to that by now. ;D
SF “fans” (term used extremely loosely) filled up the entire section to my left. I swear if I heard UUUUUUUUUUU-----Ribe one more time I was gonna throw one of them off the upperdeck. It was a helluva ride though. I’ll take the DH over watching a pitcher hit 7 days out of the week. Ahhhhhhhhh, baseball is here!
You got to go to The Series?! Man, that’s a lifelong dream for me! Lucky you!
Thanks for being a good sport. It must have been a tough loss. Both teams played some great ball. Buster Posey has got to be Yogi Berra reincarnated or something - amazing poise and game awareness for a rookie. Plus a howitzer for an arm.
UUUUUUUUUU------Ribe plays for the Dodgers now and helped them beat SF in their opener in LA tonight. One down - 161 games to go…
DH takes the substitution strategy out of play… Manager chess match and all like that.
If you play the field you gotta take your cuts too!
Did I metion I’m pumped that baseball season has started?
Yeah. All three here. I got into season tickets three years ago when the Rangers weren’t that great. Got a helluva deal and last year was an even better deal. I’m first row of the upperdeck, directly behind homeplate. Cheap seats, but IMHO, best in the house.
Posey is legit. We’ll see what his sophomore season does to him though. Opening day is at 3p for us today. Already pumped!
I feel for you. I bet it was an extremely long off-season for Sox fans considering they didn’t even make the post-season. But hey, they have a $200 million payroll now so that should count for something.
Isn’t there a “Cubs’ Law” or something that states that any forum thread about Baseball will inevitably degenerate into either 1. Red Sox v. Yankees mudslinging or 2. talking about how bad the Cubs are?
I believe we are now 2-1, so NYAH! If we keep this up we’ll be over .750 for the rest of the season!
I’m not really into baseball or a huge statistical genius, but I believe if you keep that up you’ll be 108-54, or about .667 for the season. Which is less than .750 in the US, I’m not sure how the metric version works out in France
But like I said, I’m not really into baseball so maybe I’m missing something ;D
