March/April Issue?

Yup…there’s Denny, Drew, Jamil and some guy named Tom Schmidlin.  ;D

Mine arrived today.  Two comments:

Hey Tom, where’s the fire?

Hey Drew, ever watch the TV show Monk?

Just kidding.  Good stuff guys!  Getting the latest issue of Zymurgy always inspires me to put my zymurgistic endeavours on the front burner. (see What’s Brewing This Weekend 3/25/11)

I have yet to receive an issue.  Joined in late January and received confirmation on 2/11/11.

I’m hoping I’ll be receiveing the current Zymurgy soon.  I bought a one year pre-paid AHA membership card at my LHBS a month ago (2/26), registered online with AHA the next day and I still have not received any information or correspondence whatsoever.  Including no response to an email last week to inquire about the lack of confirmation.  Is this typical for AHA?    ???

Not typical at all.  Last week was the Craft Brewers Conference and I know most (it not all) the staff were there.  Who did you email.

I believe I used the Info@ address on the “contact us” page. Any suggestions for a more direct contact?

Yeah, try kathryn@brewersassocaition.org.  Kate rocks!

Thanks Denny!  You can always count on an Oregon guy!

Agreed!

While I did receive email confirmation of membership on 3 March and my membership cards (family membership) a couple weeks after that, I haven’t received Zymurgy in the mail as of yet. (Though I do have the Mar/Apr copy because I bought it at my not-so LHBS)

typo alert, that should be kathryn@brewersassociation.org

Mine just came in yesterday.

Still nothing

Email Kate.

I’d email Kate if it was a membership issue (new member, not sure when membership starts for mailing purposes) and Jill if it was a circulation issue (longtime member didn’t receive their issue).  I’m sure it will wind up in the right place either way, but you might save them a step.

Good point.  I’m just so used to saying “Email Kate”…

I received a response from this guy–he straightened it out, I just missed the mailing list deadline.

I checked with Jill.  She said the fastest thing to do is to send an email to info@brewersassociation.org if you’re an existing subscriber who didn’t receive their issue.  Like I said, other ways will work, but when you work with a small shop it’s always best to save them work when you can by sending it to the right person.

Thanks Gordon, message sent.  I’m looking forward to reading yours and Denny’s articles

Well, I got mine, even though I am not a contributing author  ;). Having been one on another magazine in another world I can appreciate the frustration with not seeing “it” live in your hands…

Meanwhile my issue has now traveled 21,000 miles…(about six crossings over “the pond”) Still reading and learning.

I forgot to update, I heard from Jon and a new copy is on the way for me.  Thanks again for the email Gordon, and to everyone else who read my gripes

I must be special, I’ve had mine for about 3 weeks now.  ;D
