Meyer lemon wit

They had some Meyer lemons at the store the other day, and they are really aromatic. I like to use fresh orange peel in the boil for my wit, but I am thinking about using these instead. Anyone try using them?

I have never used them but I think it is a great idea. I love using citrus zest so much that I actually used some lime recently.

My cousin gave me some Meyer lemons from her tree last Thanksgiving. You could smell them across the room before they were even cut!

Have you tried Leinenkugels summertime shandy? I think they may be Meyer-lemon based with weisse. I drank a few and thought the lemon was a little bit too lemony verging on artificial.

You could try dry-zesting?

i have some meyer lemons soaking in vodka and honey right now, making a version of limoncello.  I would go for it.  You could soak the zest in vodka and dose at packaging, or use the zest of 2 or three at the end of the boil.

I did a wit with dried meyer lemon slices. it was a little bit tart for sure but very nice and refreshing. I used about 1 oz at 10 minutes left of the boil
