Leaving the 7th of August for Munich, Salzburg, Prague and Berlin (among other places). Any suggestions of can’t miss places. I’ve been to all before besides Prague, buts it’s been a number of years. Looking forward to a fresh Steigl.
If you can, do not miss Ragensburg. Spiral and Knitzinger brewery. In Prague you have to visit U Flaku. Have fun.

We were not in Prague long enough to really know it, but U Flecku is a must.
Any updates on this? In 2013 we were in Vienna, Prague, Brataslava and Munich. U Fleku was cool as was U Vejvodu which is a very big bierhall. There was also a small brewery called Pivovar U Tri Ruzi (at the three roses?) which had great beer and of all things… great burgers too. I also found a beer in the Czech Republic called “Bernard” which I had never seen. It came in a Grolsch-style bottle and a waiter where I was drinking it said it came from the southern part of the country. I hope the OP’s trip was fun!
Pivovar Bernard is partly owned by Duvel. (Same as Boulevard)
And is in Humpolec (central Bohemia). Since they are owned by Belgians they make some fruit ales but majority or production is good old Czech Pilsner.
Other than U Flecku, what old breweries are still standing in the Czech Republic? I used to have NCYC 679 in my bank. NCYC 679 was the production strain at the Stein Brewery in Bratislava. From what I understand, the property on which the Stein Brewery sat has been re-developed.
Yes to my understanding Stein brewery grounds were sold off and brand was sold to brewery Steiger in Vyhne Slovak Republic.
