New brew kettles

I am having new brew pots done.
I just went to see them.
I think they are quite large.
What do you think?

They MIGHT be large, or it could be just the camera adding 50 gallons to em.
Put a woman in one of the pots so we have some scale to work with.
No fair using vertically challenged people!  :stuck_out_tongue:

When are you planning to start up the brewery.  8)

When we get all the permits.
TTB interview tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing some pics of the brewery.

Are you still planning to use conical fermeters?

Best of luck to you.

6 hour drive for me to come buy a beer.  :frowning:
What are your distribution plans - at least initially?

New Glarus won’t distribute in Illinois because of the BS here.

So far we have empty space.
We should be getting 6 350 gal conical and one 110 Gal propagator tank.
No open fermenters so far.

We will be self distributing brewery and we will try to go after local market first.
I do not see us going out of the state any time soon.

So you best chance to get our beer would be visit Eau Claire.

looks like you will have your hands full  good luck!

Way to go!  I’ve been keeping it quiet ever since you told me at NHC, but now the cat’s out of the bag.  Best of luck!

Outstanding!  :o

What will be the volume of those pots?

Thank you guys.
Raw volume is 210 gallons.
I am planning to use 6 heating elements.
I hope they will be done in middle of November.

Awesome, congratulations!

Awesome - Best of luck.

Since collaboration brews seem to be the ‘in thing’ among pro-brewers, have you & Major considered doing one?

that is a great idea but we live quite apart.
As far as Pro-brewer thing. I am still working on license.
I hope to have it done by the end of the year.

You don’t need to be near each other to collaborate on a recipe and brewed separately.  Either way, I wish you the best of luck and hope you have a large pair of scissors to cut through all the red tape.

I just thought I would report on progress.
Kettles are welded and they are been fitted with fittings.
I guess time to buy a valves and all other stuff.

They are still impressive to me

Nice work Leos!
I am planning on swinging by in Feb and will call you before I get to town to make sure it works out.  Are you going to set them up with any automation?  I have 2 ssr’s with heatsinks to control both legs of 240v AC for my electric kettle now.  I had them set up manually earlier, but it would boil too fast at 240v and not enough at 120v.

Yes and yes.
I am going to pick it up tomorrow.
I am using Auber PIDs with SSRs.
It will be semi automatic.

Looking forward meeting you again.

Here it is.
