Well, I got through the registration before I got the Service Unavailable error…

503.  The constant clicking of reload begins…

+503

+1 +503

I wonder if I need to do this for each entry!

I got registered on the Denver site but somehow it lost all my info. I can login but all the info (Name, address, etc) is blank and when I select “add entries” it takes be back to the login. Also, when I click “Edit info” I get a blank page.

Did this happen to anyone else?

“Currently, 0 entries have been logged.”

I guess fears of how fast this was going to fill up were unfounded!  ;D

God I hope not, or I’ll get no work done this afternnon

It does not let me in, need to reset the password, then it does not recognize my e-mail address.

This is very frustrating.

Tried to register in the Milwaukee region, but got the following error:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /data/vhost1/www.brewingcompetition.com/deploy/html/region8/sections/register.sec.php on line 398

I can’t believe you guys went with the hosted solution when you have web servers of your own.

NYC 109 registered already.  I managed to get 1 in so far.

The Denver siteis officially hosed. I was able to get it to take my info on a different e-mail address but now when I log in and click “Add entries” it brings upa page that tells me “I must be logged in to access this area”

just got 1 in NYC so far, it keeps asking me to log in again…

Happened to me the first time, but now just the dreaded 503.
At first it said that one entry had been added to Denver, but now 0.
Good luck.  Entering an Old Ale? ; )  I am.

Haven’t been able to get into the database for the Denver site yet, but the HTTP server was up long enough that I was able to register an account. Now that’s 503-ing as well.

I’ve done enough web development that I’m sympathetic, but this is getting to be a pattern. We know how many members there are and that they’ll all hit the server at once - what’s the x factor?

66 entries in Denver.  I had to re-login, then 503d again.
Ouch this is painful.

Methinks AHA needs to get a better hosting solution.  Seeing mysql errors about too many connections is so 2001.

I have one entry in NY so far.  Keep getting 503 error as well.

I love the AHA, but I am very disappointed in the server overloads. I mean there couldn’t be more than a couple 10 thousand people trying to get in. That isn’t that bad when you consider the bandwidth of big web pages.  Time to spend some money on server upgrades or better hosting maybe.

Now getting 503. Ugh  >:(
