NHC Hotels filled up already?

I don’t want to start a panic, but when checking into the hotels next to the Devos center in GR, several people in my club found that they had sold rooms using the AHA/NHC rate and are filled for the dates of the conference already.

I had held off, like many, waiting for the official announcement for hotel information.  I’m hoping that the hotels are filled because they have not released the room blocks yet.

Any idea what’s up with hotel options?

regards,
Roger

I can’t imagine that’s accurate.

I haven’t received the hotel announcement yet.

We are holding blocks of rooms at several Grand Rapids hotels- they are not sold out yet. Conference registrants who have already paid for their tickets will be receiving information about booking travel via email tomorrow morning.

Thanks!

Has anyone got an email yet this morning regarding the hotels.  I have not, but my email server seems to be acting up as of late.

Nothing in my email box.  It’s still “morning” for another 3.5 hours, LOL

I’m just glad we’ll be driving in to town.  That little airport may not be able to handle all of us…

Email just came through.  We are at the Amway!!!

Can’t wait.  And driving from MPLS, so we’ll have to stop in New Glarus, WI.  LOL

Marriott filled up on Tuesday in the time it took me to make a couple clicks, so I’m at the Amway for the other 4, at least.  Will make other arrangements for that first night or check back later in the spring…

glad that’s mostly out of the way, at least.

Hard day. I might have to ask you to bring me back a couple bottles.

Was just able to book the JW Marriott with the AHA link for Tues-Sun.  JW’s are usually really nice.  You might want to try today now that the rooms are released.

We are at the Amway as well.

That process could use improvement though!

actually that’s what I tried.  it showed availability, I clicked it, and it said no availability anymore.  whatever; just glad to be there.  And have to figure out how to manage a Wednesday arrival with an 8:30 am Wednesday Mead exam.

cheers–

It only took a minute to book my room at the Amway.

No plans to stop at Lazy Monk to try Lazy Monk beers?

Oh yea, we’ll stop there.  But spending the night in New Glarus.

In at the Amway. Process was a breeze. No worries.

Does appear that Tuesday night is sold out at both Amway and Marriott.  Glad I was sitting at the computer.

Driving from Wisconsin.  Will be sure to bring a few bottles of the New Glarus Cherry that I still have in the cellar, so that I can make a few friends.

Excited, but still real disappointed about the loss of Pro night.  Also am hoping they have club night in a larger space than last year.

Amway and JW are really nice hotels.  Can’t go wrong with those.  The others are some great options also.  Cheers!

I 'm annoyed that the hotel email went out only to people who paid even though all those who registered in the lottery have until Sunday to pay. I would have already, but I’m trying to get my new family membership sorted out because of the new requirement that your SO guest pays AHA dues.

What are the closest hotels other than the Marriott and Amway?
