NHC video/live feed

Are there plans to offer streaming coverage of the NHC?  As an example of where this has been done and seems to work well is Blizzard’s Blizzcon. Since the conference can only handle around 1000 people offering video coverage of it would be a great way for many more people to experience it.  The way Blizzard does it, you pay for access to a live feed and then also have access to a DVR-like feature for a year afterward, so you can watch everything at your leisure.

The AHA is not planning that, but the Brewing Network does video feeds of the awards banquet.  There really isn’t that much else that could be used.

OK, thanks. I guess I will have to wait for it to come to Orlando again.

Having said that… I know the org is looking at what it would take to provide audio for non-realtime download. (like is done with the presentations). Big cost hit, so I don’t know where that stands.

Drew, if it’s a combination of money and tech needs, PM me. I’d like to help.

I like it, but video feed of something like Club Night sounds cruel.
“Check out this awesome beer you can’t taste!”    ;D

I think maybe BN does broadcast club night…not too sure.  I’m also not too sure how interesting it would be to watch it if you’re not there.  There’s really not much other than the banquet/awards and the seminars that would be of interest.  The banquet is already covered, and I really doubt the seminars will ever be broadcast live.  Disclaimer: just my opinion, not necessarily that of the AHA.
