It’s that time of year again: Registration is open for the 2025 National Homebrew Competition (NHC)! Since the first NHC in 1979, more than 166,000 homebrewed entries have been evaluated by our team of expert judges, and this year is your chance to go for gold.
Competition Details - The 2025 competition includes seven First Round judging sites. Brewers are welcome to select their preferred site and do not need to choose the one that is geographically closest to them. Judging dates vary by location. There is a cap of 750 entries per location, so act fast to secure your spot. For more details and FAQs, visit the NHC website.
More often than not, most competitions will have an awards presentation after the judging is completed. This is often broadcast online using the sponsor club’s Facebook page. It’s pretty cool to hear your or your friend’s name called. Any thought given to likewise announcing results of the first round live online after they complete judging?
Any update on this? I mean c’mon it’s not like you’ve been busy organizing an independent organization, hiring a management firm, conducting member input sessions or anything.
Hello. Our events team is still finalizing details on Final Round awards ceremony to share deets in April. Any First Round evolutions will need to be considered and implemented in 2026 and we are logging all suggestions with nothing off the table to look at so keep the wish list and ideas coming.
