I went with the PH60. Got it from Amazon on sale. Had some issues with the calibration, but I left it overnight with the storage solution in it and got it calibrated the next day. I brewed that weekend and the mash pH was 5.4 so I left it at that. Hopefully, I’ll learn more about adjusting pH as brewing goes along.

I went with the PH60 as well. I had a little trouble calibrating it but an overnight soak in storage solution and a phone call to tech support had me up and going. I didn’t get the meter going in time for my latest brew day, but I plan to start measuring pH here and there, including the finished beer, to understand the meter better and get used to the process.

FWIW I have used Beersmith, Bru’n water and Brewfather for mash ph calculations. I’ve found that the first two agree as long as the calculation method in Beersmith is set to the BW (Bru’n Water model, but are pretty far off from my measurements. I’ve found that Brewfather is dead on my measurements. To be fair I am only two batches in using Brewfather. YMMV.

Thanks, I’ve always used Beer Smith and am just really getting into adjusting pH. I’ve looked at brewfather, but never used it. I also compare beer smith to Brewer’s Friend. BF is not bad and is fairly easy to use.
I will check into Brewfather thanks again for the information.
