PID Controller

I got this thing all out of whack. Any oneknow how to get it back? The green is set temp but red is supposed to be display temp. Not sure how to get it to read right and still trying to figure out the 60+ page manual.

Turn it off. Drink a beer. Turn it back on. That’s the extent of my knowledge but sometimes it works.

It’s not a Window’s PC. You must be in IT. (But yeah, I tried that already. Over night.)

Is it brand new?

Go to section 3-22 in your user manual and use the instructions there to reset it back to the factory defaults.

Yeah, saw how to do that but unfortunately it came pre-programmed with parameters from the manufacturer of control panel so that’s not going to work. I really got the thing out of whack some how.

Same thing happened to mine a few years ago. Different make/model, but I ran an autotune function. I did a beer with a 122* protein rest and autotuned up to 149*. The PID figured itself out by around 140* and has worked fine ever since. I would also consider putting it on some kind of surge arrest too.

Bummer… at least it would get you back to a starting/base-line profile that would make it semi-usable (I hope).
