Great job on those hops. I’m envious . I think a wet-hopped Tim with the Centennial,Cascade, and Zeus sounds pretty killer to me.

Thanks Jon…I just brewed a 4 C Tim not long ago with pellets. It has found its way into my top 5 brews. Maybe number 2. It was a 10 gallon batch. 1/2 oz of each Cent, Cascade, Columbus, and Chinook at FW, an oz of Chinook and Columbus at 60 minute, an oz of Cent and Cascade at 30, and ounce of all 4 at flame out, and dry hopped each carboy with an ounce of each. If I yield enough, this year, I may try and brew a fresh hopped 4 C’s.
Oh yeah, overlooked the Chinook. That definitely needs to be in there. Need to try my hand @ growing again after seeing those pics.
I pre ordered the rhizomes (rooted cuttings) from the thyme garden in October. Very nice quality. They ship on a first come first serve basis so I’m sure I got some of the best cuttings.
I culled my first hop harvest. It was maybe fifteen cones. Definitely not enough for a Tim.
I can’t be happier with my first harvest from my first year Chinook! There’s still some left maturing on the bine. I also got a handful of Magnum and Willamette today too. There are a ton on the Columbus and Nugget plants, but they’re a couple weeks away.
Looks like the makings of a BA Tim coming up !
With all the time and energy spent prepping and growing the hops, it’s worth the effort to put them to sleep for the winter…

I always wonder what kinds of chemicals and dyes must be in that new mulch. :o
It can’t naturally be that red can it?
some of it is. the redwood bark mulch is pretty red. but yeah. Interesting tidbit, morel mushrooms LOVE whatever those chemicals are, A freshly mulched lawn is a great place to look for morels later in the winter (spring?)
