These onetime posters who I assume are bots seem to be getting out of control. Isn’t there a tech solution to this, like making users create an account and having to identify the traffic lights or whatnot?

Yep. It certainly seems like there are a lot of them recently. In fact I’d say there’s a 50-50 chance of one of them posting on this thread because I typed the words  cannabis terpene as spambait

I noticed a new spam bot trick today. They initially posted a comment that was iffy (first post, user image is Britney Spears, reply to older post, only tangentially related to topic subject). After the post was there for a few days without getting deleted, then the comment was edited to include the spam link. Tricky bastards these spam bots…
