Would you all kindly share any pictures you have of brew stands or other pictures of your all grain setup? I’m still unsure on where I’ll stage a 10 gallon SS HLT and a 10 gallon Igloo. I’d like to do this in the garage or in the driveway FWIW.
I actually don’t use the upper cooler. If I had a second burner I would put It there to heat a hot liquor tank and avoid lifting or as I do it now. Moving sparge water one pitcher at a time from the boil kettle. I currently use the upper cooler on the floor as a collector for wort until I free up the boil kettle.
The HLT keg top right is from Bert Grant’s brewery. Glad I have a piece of history.
That’s very cool.
Replaced the wire cage with outdoor stained wood
I run a very basic operation. But I like the end product! I use the same table as a cook station. Hence my Big Deck BBQ and Brew.
pretty basic set up, 10gallon MT and 10gallon kettle, separate kettle for strike /spargewater is used and while I’m at it, here’s the new kegerator I recently finished
Nice. And I like the Jerry picture behind the bar !
Thanks, that’s an original print from Jerry’s run on Broadway! Was at 11 of those shows, miss that guy a lot!
Very cool !
Here’s mine. Still a work in progress. In the process of changing to natural gas.

I lost like 5 efficiency points when I added a snowboard to my brew stand. Not sure what the problem is.

LOL Pinski!
Where have I seen that before? :
- I think I have the same snowboard.
- Denny’s picture is actually more than I expected, though I can’t wrap my brain around the orange stripes. Shouldn’t they be blue?
- Here is my ‘Worlds only 2.5 tier brewstand’ - A winch raises the mashtun up and down.
- Many more pictures with captions here. https://picasaweb.google.com/Jimmy.Kroon/BrewensteinABrewingMonster
- I like bullets.
Mine is shown below and is a Work in Progress (same goes for just about everything in my home brewery).
If you’re looking for inspiration, mine could use the following improvements:
*A GRANT at the MLT outlet would make life much easier
*Raising the mash cooler off the ground (I use cinder blocks now, but they aren’t pictured)
*Pump housing and sample draw (like the BYO pump tool box project)
*Sparge water manifold on the cooler lid - this model of cooler does not hold temps well, and cracking the lid to sparge doesn’t help!
*Plate chiller
*More tubing and valves to switch from vorlauf to kettle
*More permanent sparge manifold - the current design likes to detach mid-mash (pictured)
In your pictures ^^, how do you manage getting the water into the HLT?
