I have been recently looking for a easier process to bottle my beer. I came across a auto syphon filler. The video on YouTube seems like it would be very quick and easy to bottle my 5 gallon batches. Has anyone come across a company which manufactures this in the US And possible pricing on syphon?
Someone posted a video of his DIY version of this earlier this year.
im not looking for a dyi verision. i would like something made from stainless steel like the video. i was looking a couple months ago and northern brewer had one on their website but stated it was “out of stock”. i found a company in the UK which sells them but never inquired on cost with shipping over the pond. just trying to use the home brewing community if they had seen/run across an item like this
here is the only place i can find one
I don’t know… Is it just me or does that look like it has an extreme amount of splashing?
I was wondering about aeration and also what it might be like to clean.
My worry on the idea would be O2 pickup leading to beer stailing faster. Seems like you are exposing more beer directly to air than I would lik. (compared to a bottleing bucket with a wand into the bottle.)
That said… if I was re-fermenting in the bottle, or connect up a CO2 source to continuously blanket the filling chamber with CO2… it is a sweet way to fill bottles!!
