Station 26 Brewing

has anyone tried brewing the “Juicy Banger” recipe by Station 26 Brewery in Denver Colorado?

No, although I have drank it.

Never tried brewing it but it’s pretty common around Denver. Never hurts to try emailing the brewery for a recipe. I believe they recently got bought out by the conglomerate that’s been gobbling up breweries in Denver as of late, so I would try sooner rather than later.

If you want something in the vicinity, I would pick a hazy IPA recipe and sub out the hops for the ones they use: mosaic, citra, centennial. Should get you pretty close.

I was the opening brewer at S26 and I developed the recipe for Juicy Banger.

If possible, you should use Root Shoot Genie Pale for base malt. Root Shot malted that just for Juicy Banger.
The malt bill should be 90% Genie Pale and 10% Weyerman Carahell
Hops should start with 60 IBU of Apollo for First Wort Hop in a 90 min boil
17 IBU of Centennial, 25 IBU of Citra and 22 IBU of Mosaic for a 15 minute addition
10 IBU of Centennial, 14 IBU of Citra and 12 IBU of Mosaic for for a 20 minute whirlpool addition
Ferment with US-05 at 65 F. When fermentation is over drop temp to 53F and pull all the yeast.
Dry hop with Citra, Mosaic and Centennial at about .2 oz per gallon for 7 days
At 2nd dry hop with Citra, Mosaic and Centennial at .15 oz per gallon for 3 days then pull all the hops. Drop the temp to 40 and add finings. Carbonate to 2.6 volumes.
