This is my brew station. I use gravity but didn’t like lifting hot wort especially when doing 10 gal batches so I came up with the brew elevator. It allows me to lift two shelves independently of one another from ground level up to approx 48". I heat strike & sparge water at a low level then raise the shelf above the mash tun & gravity feed into the tun. I then boil at a low level where its easy to add hop & other additions then I raise the boil pot higher to gravity feed thru a plate chiller into the fermentor. No ladders or heavy lifting needed. I have brewed about 30 batches on it over the past couple years & its worked well. Its welded aluminum & the lifts are steel with poly inserts that slide up & down the aluminum uprights. The winches are reversible brake winches.
Wow, that is a nice rig and an impressive feat of engineering.
Very sweet set up
That’s a very clever idea, well made.
Yeah, pretty clever. Nice job !
Ok count me in for first production order!
That’s genious! I continue to be amazed at the creativity of home brewers solving problems.
I love it, great job! Man I need to go to a stainless MT. Scorched the side of my cooler yesterday
Very cool. Are you able to leave it where it is?
I’m not sure if I’m answering this correctly but I can crank either side up or down to any level between the ground & about 48" high. Where ever you stop cranking is where the shelf rests, the brake winch holds the shelf in place, there are no pins or anything like that. The winch does the work. Oh and the shelves are not attached permanently , they clip on to the lift mechanism & can roll away when lowered to the ground.

sure is!
Excellent solution!
Great looking rig!
Awesome!
