Don’t like honey (or cream) in my coffee. Turbinato sugar in coffee is way delicious… hints of molasses…
Tea grows well here, but at higher elevations than where I live. Several friends have tea bush hedges. Fairly easy on a hobby scale. More difficult on a commercial scale. Harvesting the new growrh is the challenge. Easy by hand, a challenge mechanically. The secret is cloning the tea bushes so they grow uniformly.
Both coffee and tea flowers smell wonderful. Simular to citrus blossoms.
The reason I asked cause to me honey changes the texture of coffee. I like sugar in the raw for my coffee but plain ol cane sugar is what I usually take.
I have Gunter’s Clove, Golden, and Orange Blossom honey. Golden is so horrid in tea, the flavor and sweetness punches through before it’s sweet enough; Orange Blossom is excellent, and even a little changes the flavor to something pleasant–eases the tannic bitterness without needing to oversweeten the tea.
split lengthwise sprayed with olive oil sprinkled with cajun blend spices and oven broiled until edges char…mmmmm
boiled, fried, not so great (small amounts in gumbo tolerable)
Potatoes, Greens and cheese. you can live on this for years and not suffer significant health problems. You may get bored but you will not starve. Beans rice and greens, same idea.
Also to lump ‘potatoes’ as one item is madness. there are so many varieties each with it’s own taste, texture and nutrient profile.
Amen brother. I love the potato.
Although rice and beans takes the prize for me.
Our “rice” is a mix of short grain brown rice, wheat berries and barley. Yum.
