Doing a last minute trip to St. Louis - my birthplace! But I may as well have never been there.
Beer scene suggestions are fine but I’m really looking for some cool things to do non-beer related during the day. I love museums, parks, recreational stuff, (long moon light strolls, lol, j/k)
I’ve only stopped overnight to break up a long drive. For an evening the Urban Chestnut facility in the Grove area is great for checking out true to style German Lagers.
The Gateway Arch museum is said to be very nice, will stop someday
We spent a weekend there a few years ago. From a suggestion on this forum, I spent a couple hours at the City Museum climbing around the sculptures and the slides with the other “kids.” I had a blast. I think you would too.
The Art Museum was also good. It was built for the 1904 World’s Fair.

And hell yeah the BBQ!
I love Zoos so thanks for that suggestion - after San Diego and Memphis Zoo I’m pretty spoiled (check both out if you haven’t already) but if there’s time we might.
Might try the Art Museum if there is time and depending what they are exhibiting … Thanks for all the suggestions.
That reminds me that we had an excellent breakfast at Cafe Osage, a small restaurant in the midst of a greenhouse.
Oops, their website says it had to close. Sad.
The City Museum is like the 8th wonder of the world. LOVE that place. I’m 46 years old and I come home with stained jeans, bruises all over my knees from crawling around, and a huge smile on my face. You can get totally lost in there, in a good way, if you can suspend your adulthood for a few hours.
I am 51 and I don’t even know the meaning of adulthood according to my wife. Can’t wait to check it out. Frozen Custard afterward sounds like a winner.
