Using PBW in dish washer?

I’ve been tempted to wash my beer glasses in the dishwasher using PBW. To me they don’t get sparkly clean when washing them with regular dishwashing soap with other dishes. Has anyone tried this and how much PBW should be added to the dishwasher?

I never wash my beer glasses in the dishwasher using commercial dish washer soap. I find this soap leaves a coating on the glass that inhibits foam retention. I always use Dawn liquid, hot water rinse and towel dry. That’s my preference.

I also use dawn liquid, hot water rinse but air dry my glasses. I do use PBW in the diswasher to clean my bottles prior to bottling with no issues. Also use the sterilize cycle

I also hand wash my beer glasses using Dawn dishwashing liquid. I never put them in the dishwasher because with my well water thy eventually get etched. When doing bottles, I hand wash them using a detergent that is used to clean bulk milk storge tanks as it gets all of the residue off the inside of the bottles and then sanitize them with Star San before filling them.

I use PBW in the dishwasher for everything - it’s an awesome cleanser without added scent and cleans much better than commercial dishwashing powders. But I also bought a 6 gallon bucket of PBW when they stopped making the large size homebrewer package (was it a gallon?), so I’ve got a lifetime supply even including using it for regular dishwasher use. I clean beer glasses in the dishwasher with everything else (and using PBW) and have had no problems. I use the same amount of of PBW as I used to use commercial dishwashing powder.
