I will be in Durango on the 8th. I hope to hit Ska brewing and Durango Brewing Co.
and possibly, Carver brewery, and Steamworks brewing…
Of course if anyone does meet up with me, it will limit my breweries as I figure a good
convo on beer will ensue and some food may be ordered but what the hell. I am up for
a good beer and good company any time.
Whadya say? Huh, Sean T, Jaybeerman, pinnah, and anyone else out west/southwest…???
PS. I know it is not an easy drive to Durango from, well anywhere in the region, But if you
had planned a trip there for something I figured I’d drop a line…
always sounds good, but I’ll be stuck in here in fruita. Geez I’d much rather have a pint at ska and durango brewing than have a pint down here, oh well. enjoy yourself. cheers, j
We have a lot of those around here too, but they tend to be easier to pronounce. Except maybe for places like Sequim (SQUIM) and Puyallup (pyoo OL up).
It 8) WOULD be cool to meet the famous Rabid Dingo Dog in the flesh,
but alas,
I am not going to be near enough Durango town on that date to meet.
However, it should be a great time to visit Durango;
seems that the hordes of Texans and Tourons have begun to dissipate.
Would be cool to have a TR (trip report) of your findings!
Should you ever find the ability to travel north through Silver town (via train to sample Sean’s wit)
and then head north over the Red Mountain,
there is the pub/brewery crawl of Ouray (your-RAY for you outa staters)
on to Colorado Boy
then Horsefly
and then up to the Gunny brewery of Gunnison
before heading over the ridge of Monarch to the east slope.
DuBois, I’ve only know a few. They have all pronounced it Doo Bose, I think there’s several variations, but the one that I’ve heard the most often is Doo Boyz. As far as origins go, I’d have to guess that you’re correct with Dew Bwah.
Mullinieux, I’ve only come across one person with this name. The few times that I’ve heard the name used it was closer to Mull uh No. No guesses otherwise.
as pinnah pointed out Ouray is another good one (are you sure that’s not U-Ray? :) of course if you’re a local we would call it your-Ray)
