All those 40’s of Old English I drank years ago. Actually gave me the shits.
Shits, we can say shit here cool
I wonder if fuck goes through because fuck is a bad assed word.
I know Denny fuckin Conn likes to include it in posts if the opportunity arises
You can’t say it. ;) BTW: +1 on the pumpkin beer. Keep those spices for pumpkin pie. I love that stuff!! ;D
I’ll bet your pumpkin beer is the best. Is your brewery going to feature that? I’ll certainly be first in line to buy it.
It’s not like we’re going to run out of pumpkin pie spices, those things go a long way!
Elysian has a Great Pumpkin Beer Festival every year with lots of different Elysian pumpkin beers on tap, and they tap a beer that has been conditioned in a giant pumpkin. Dick just drives a tap into the side of the pumpkin and the beer starts pouring! I usually don’t make it there, but if you like pumpkin beers it’s a great thing.
;D Good point! I would certainly try a beer tapped out of a pumpkin any day. FTR: I don’t “hate” pumpkin spiced beers, just not something I can drink more than one of.
Do any of you Senior Brewmasters have recipes you can share?
Thanks in advance.
Recipe for what?? Iron City Light? No - sorry. I don’t.

Anything your brewery recommends has got to be good.
Well, in that case I don’t recommend pumpkin beers, or IC Light. especially not the latter. I also don’t recommend Steel Reserve.
I’ll certainly stay away from those beers. Can you share any recipes from your brewery?
Anyone who knows me knows that I am very free to hand out any recipe. Send me a PM and I will be happy to oblige. But I’m not going to post my recipes in this titled thread. ![]()

Sorry, I would never ask you to post a recipe in a “Worst Beer” thread. My bad.
Victory Helios. Maybe I just don’t like Belgian farmhouse ales, but I gave it a shot because I like pretty much everything else that Victory makes.
This one tasted like it came straight from the horse. If it’s this, Bud Light, or using a cheese grater on my head I’m going to ask how sharp the cheese grater is.

You know what cinnamon is good in?
Apple Pie!

I suppose you are correct as ONE Pumpkin beer is one too many ![]()
I will admit, when I had a Heineken in Amstrdam, it wasn’t half bad. But, I guess I am thinking of the green bottle skunk bomb that we get here in America, I can see the cans being better but I probably won’t ty it. Maybe Corona should have been my answer, because even in Mexico that stuff is terrible.
This topic dredges up memories of college parties, kegs, and getting the most beer for our meager bucks. And I only graduated 4 years ago.
Natural “Natty” Ice and Natty Light top the list. I think a case ran us about $9. When we wanted a “better” beer, we would get… Keystone Light or Keystone Ice. $11/case. There was one day one of my roommates bought a case of Schlitz… $6/case. The list goes on and includes names such as Milwakee’s Best, and Lionshead. With the exception of Keystone, I got sick from everyone of those beers, and it wasn’t just the low tolerance. I won’t even go into the 40s we would on occasion.
Thank god I discovered better beers and someone bought Yuengling one night. I still don’t mind the occasional bud or miller, though, but mention Natty and I cringe.
Oh and I forgot one! MGD 64. Tastes like piss water.
I have to admit that pumkin beers are hard to get excited about. Maybe I haven’t had any good examples yet but they leave much to be desired IMHO. or maybe my IMNSHO. ![]()

Maybe… Maybe?
Pumpkin soup, thats what beers with Jack-o-lanterns, Pumpkins, Goblins, Gouls and trick or treaters on the lable belong in.
