Whatcha Brewin' this week -- 2009 Nov 11-17?

Brewed Denny’s BVIP today and brewing a funky single later this week sometime. Wanted to knock out a couple batches before I head up to the PNW.  ;D

What’s up TD!!?? Glad to see you made it over here. I was fixin’ to email you and ask you where you were.  8)

Blatz PM’d me over at NB. I’ve been kinda outta the loop lately so I hand’t made it over to the hip new hangout yet.

Glad he did. I was going to if I didn’t see you soon. I noticed you have been out of pocket. Don’t be such a damned stranger now, hear?  ;D

Last Saturday I brewed an IPA in the 60IBU range, 1.061, all cascades except for half the bittering hops (HopShot), to be dry hopped with leaf cascade.

Next weekend on the yeast cake, I’m thinking a bigger DIPA, packed to the brim with Chinook hops, and some Cascade.

Was there any wort left to ferment?  All those hops may have soaked it all up.  Hophead, yeah I guess! ;D

I was going for a balanced beer  ;D

Northern Brown Ale.  Jamil’s recipe, with some tweaks.

Oh, there is a shocker  :stuck_out_tongue:

My Nor’Easter wild culture is starting to get FUNK-AYE!
Another week and it gets a taste, if it tastes good its Lambic time

What can I say? I like the stank.

Dude, I gots pellicle in my bedroom  ;D
Basement is gonna be too cold

“Honey, ANOTHER carboy in the bedroom?”

Hey, at least this one isnt bubbling, got a table leg shoved in the neck

Going to be racking a Munich Dunkel and then putting a Schwarzbier on the yeast in the next week.

Rad dude. You should see my attic. It’s like a pellicle farm up there.

I’m diving into an Imperial IPA based upon the Gordon clone that Jamil and Mike McDole detailed on a recent “Can You Brew It” podcast.

Here’s the planned log: http://brewlog.zkdigital.com/index.php?page=brewBlogDetail&&filter=geoff&id=169

Pitching it straight atop the yeast cake my Pale American Whiteboy is currently sitting on.

Now, if the weather will cooperate and not be snowing too much, I’ll be good.

Sparging an American Barleywine right now…    :stuck_out_tongue:

last night i made a smoked dusseldorf altbier and and ipa.

oh by the way i just joined so plan on snooping around for awhile

one time, you gotta try a no-sparge.

It’s a little late since winter is upon us, but I am going to get up to my annual “Fall Evening At Lake Chelan” ale.  It boasts with all 100% Chelan hops with a great autumn color… :P  It is a yearly favorite with friends.

I’m going to keg my UK style IPA and pitch an oatmeal stout on the yeast cake on Sunday.

No brewing for me this weekend…I’m working all day both Sat. and Sun.  I’ll miss the club chili cookoff, too.  Ah, the joys of show biz!  :frowning:
