Does anyone know where I can get cheap 1 gallon fermenters? I am going to be making an american stout and after primary fermentation, I want to split it up into a couple of fermenters. One fermenter, I’m going to age it on oak chips that have been soaked in vodka, one on oak chips that have been soaked in tequila, and one on plain oak chips just to compare the flavors. Thanks in advance for the help as always
Apple cider bottles. My LHBS sells them empty for a few bucks, filled with cider at Whole Foods they are $8. Don’t buy empty at Whole Foods, they are more expensive than full. [emoji848]
I use these for experimental brews and Kombucha fermenting just add an airlock to it, its only $8 plus free prime shipping. Wide mouth for easy cleaning and adding your chips you want to add!

I have about 7 or 8 one-gallon wine jugs from the homebrew shop that I use for starters and test batches. Recently though, my LHBS has started carrying 2-gallon fermenting buckets. These are great, because now I can brew a full gallon or more. And buckets are so much easier for dry-hopping with whole cones than 1-gallon jugs.
I got one of these as part of a going-away gift from my last job about 15 months ago when I was given a starter wine kit. I never made the wine (pressure of new job, family illness, grad school, blah blah) and I assume the ingredients are bad, but the gear is pretty neat. I just need the right lil’ experiment. (With beer, not wine…)
