10 gal kegs

I figured dispensing a sanke keg filled with homebrew would be no problem. Cleaning and filling it is the issue - seems like it requires specialized equipment.

already had a reply on the 1/12 bbl (2.5g)  62 dollars a piece (minimum 5 is 310)
shipping to my zip was 120.

host of other info they sent me i havent’t digested yet.

Here is the price sheet:

May be I was wrong about shipping.

I might be interested in some slim (tall) 1/4 kegs (30L).  I ferment in stainless 1/4 kegs and they work great.  I would love to have some more and they’re a heck of a lot lighter.  They are the same height as a corny, just a little wider.  I treat them just like a carboy with a carboy cap and everything.  It would be cooler to use a Sanke tap cut-off on the bottom, I just haven’t gotten “a round tuit”.
Anyone know about polypropylene and its effects with brewing?  I wouldn’t think it would be a problem if you can store beer in them.

Man, they would kill the market if they could make corny style kegs at that price. Their new price for 1/6B kegs is competetive with the prices for used ball lock kegs now.

challange for homebrewer is to build cleaning aparadus.
once you have PBW and SaniClean are your friends.

I do like the kegs. i think 1/4 BBL are a little shorter then cornies.
The only issue I have is customer service.

Tell me more…
I haven’t received a reply yet.  Have you had another issue?

Keg sizes:
Plastic 1/6 barrel - 5.16 gallon, 23.15" tall, 9.9" wide
Plastic 30L - 7.9 gallon, 23.2" tall, 12.3" wide
Stainless pin-lock corny - 5 gallon, 22 or 23" tall, 9" wide
Stainless ball-lock corny - 5 gallon, 25" tall, 8.5" wide

i have a sump pump I use to clean kegs and carboys now, wouldn’t you just have to hook a sanke fitting on the end and pump the pbw in and let it drain from the gas fitting?  Or am I missing something?  It won’t be as slick as a commercial one and it might take a while to clean/rinse/sanitize, but on a homebrew scale it might not be a big deal.

i would think that would be right, i am not sure if you have to take the sankey valve out or not.  i am afraid of spending 400 bucks to experiment.  man it is tempting though, because i have really been looking for small kegging options. maybe i could get 5 and broker out a few through the lhbs.

No, you are right.
I posted pics of mine keg cleaner here:

Homebrew version can be simpler because you do not have to clean 40 kegs a pop.

No you would not take the valve out.

4 minutes with 140F PBW should do the cleaning.

Response is slow. I have one leaky valve (can not use the keg) and never got answer (kegs have 3 years warranty).
I never got valve tightening tool that I paid for.

All that said. I do like the kegs and I am thinking of buying 24 more 1/4 BBL kegs.
Looking at old invoices there is a handling fee on every order.

You’ll just need to take out the check valves (gas and beer) and you’re good to go.

I found this in a web search today.

They have new 10 and 15 gallon kegs which are spendy.  Thought I would share…

Slightly cheaper here, but check the shipping and handling.

I got a quote from Plastic Kegs America.
For 10 kegs it was $920 or $92 per keg but shipping for me from California to Ontario was $404.

Which size?

50 L. I do 23 L batches so two batches would be close to perfect for that size.
