1st Time with all grain brewing

This is my first attempt at all grain brewing. Can anyone recommend a fairly easy recipe for an Amber Ale? I am a wine maker and have done syrup brewing but never all grain. Recommendations greatly appreciated.

I use Brewing Classic Styles often as a starting point, but the AHA recipe section is great for ideas:

Try this for example:

Good luck and welcome to the forum!

I like what they say in BCS concerning Amber Ale: “Of course, like many styles, this one has a wide range. Some examples are going to be quite big and hoppy, especially on the West Coast of the United States, while others will be much more restrained. Some examples are toasty, while others show a touch of roast. Either way, this is a great, easy-drinking style.” from “Brewing Classic Styles: 80 Winning Recipes Anyone Can Brew” — Jamil Zainasheff, John Palmer

I like an Amber a bit on the “more restrained” side like Full Sail’s Amber Ale. It’s an uncomplicated recipe with 2-row Pale, Crystal and Chocolate malts hopped with Mt. Hood and Cascades yet it has earned many awards and accolades including over 20 gold medals and was named “World’s Best Dark Beer” at the World Beer Awards. Amber Ale | Full Sail Brewing Company AMBER ALE - Full Sail Brewery  Though I’ve not had the real deal, and I dumb mine down to ~5%ABV, this is pretty tasty. This is a go at it:

Amber Balanced water (from Bru’n water)

83% 2-Row
15% C60
2% Chocolate

60 min:
9 IBU Mt Hood
8 IBU Cascade

10 min:
8 IBU Mt Hood
7 IBU Cascade

I like Nottingham dry yeast.
