Beer in Motortrend

The Great Midwestern Beer Run

Sometimes I love having crazy connected friends!

Sucks to be you… ;D

If I’d have known you were there I’d of crossed the state to meet you.

Eeeeeeeeeast bound and doooowwwwwwwn loaded up and truckin…

nice work drew!

If you don’t think we sang that song more than once while driving, well, you don’t know how corny our sense of humor is…

Or the fact that Jonny kept blaring “When the Levee Breaks” by Zepplin as we rolled from Muenster to Chicago, etc…

And Fred, I had no clue when and where we were going to be except here there and gone.

And I would have suggested Brewery Vivant, You’ll have to pay it a return visit.

hell drew, i sing it when i bring homebrew to my buddy’s house!

Looks like a good time in an awesome (yet ugly) car. Good job mixing two passions without, you know, DUI’ing.  :stuck_out_tongue:

You did not stop in my brewery :frowning:

Another nice addition to your beer resume.  ;D

Some very prestigious breweries to visit as well.

Thanks for the link!

If we’d had have one more day! We were pressed for time and on our last day were still too late to make our final stop!

The ruling on the field is Wisconsin seems to take an unconscionably long time to cross!

Looks like an awesome adventure Drew!

It depend how many giant muskies/cheese shops you want to see.
It depends where you go but it is about 4.5 hours to cross.

Interesting day job Drew.  Did you ever get a chance to meet Mulder abd Scully?

Ahh, yes, I should clarify that… I don’t work for the FBI, but I do some work on efforts that have sent bad guys to the FBI for investigation.

X Files?

Some days it feels like it (as the first X-Files movie is playing on Cinemax.)

It was an interesting read since I used to work in the Auto Industry and had to sometimes get cars ready for the Press.  Glad to see they are doing some stuff we can all enjoy, like make crazy beer runs.  Hope you had a great time here in MI, and several have said let us know next time.

Drew, just so you know, many of the folks from Michigan were getting tired of the hop bombs in SD.  We were asking where could we get a balanced beer (I knew enough to look for Firestone Walker, but they are not from SD County).  Don’t get me wrong, loved the beer, and it was a great time but we were getting burned out.

Very cool indeed… Now if you ever want to do something like that in an aeroplane…

Fun article - sounds like a pretty sweet trip.  Where in MN did you get your speeding ticket?  Maybe you were gone by that point.  I’d like to know what the officer said when he pulled over “the black Nazgul” loaded down with that much beer.
