Beer Travel in Europe

Regnier was my guide back in 2007 and we have remained good friends ever since that trip. We did a private one day tour in Flanders that included De Dolle, Westvleteren, Watou, and frolicking in hops fields in Popperinge.

Nowadays Regnier owns a great bar in Bruges called Le Trappiste so his time for running tours are much more limited as he’s busy running the bar. Visit his bar though if you are ever in Bruges it’s awesome! Regnier is the man!

Another great beer city to visit is Bamberg Germany. I hired a private guide named Patrick Murphy who runs a company called Bambeerg. Patrick took us to so many awesome places including some very small breweries on the outskirts of Bamberg. We hired him for two days

We have done several day trips in Bavaria, mainly Franconia, with Rich Carbonara. His website and business is called The Beerwanderer.

Thanks for the reference to the Beerwanderers. I have seen his site and it’s great. No plans to travel with him as I stick to breweries that are much closer to my hotel :slightly_smiling_face: .
