Anyone use Beersmith 2 and is it worth the cost to upgrade from Beersmith?
I use Beersmith 2 and love it but honestly I cannot remember anything about Beersmith 1.x and what it did or didn’t have. I’m sure there are some new features that make upgrading worth it.
At the very least, I see it as $20 well spent to help support Brad in making a great software. Now I just need to throw some money Martin’s way for Bru’n’Water.

Don’t use beersmith, but I do recommend contributing to Martin’s efforts with Bru’n water. Well worth the upgrade.
I’m a big fan of BeerSmith2. I find it easy to set up and use, flexible and full-featured (sounds like a lady I once knew…). Recipe import, formulation and adjustment is simple and quick. I particularly like being able to print out the Brew Steps sheet to guide my brew day (and it keeps my electronics out of the brewhouse). Also the Shopping Cart feature is very handy.
Very worth the $20 bucks. Although the ipad app, not so much; I bought it and only use it for on the go stuff, like bored at the airport or at the HBS trying to put together a grain bill. Personally, I prefer the PC version because it’s far more useful on brewday.
I love using it. Only have the PC version but my laptop is close by on brew day, yet away from all hit liquids. I really like printing up the shopping cart for a couple batches and taking that to the LHBS
Love the PC version which is worth many times the $20 cost. Same cant really be said for the iPad version, which is okay for pulling recipes from the cloud, or pulling a ball park together, but doesnt have near the control the PC version has.
The biggest difference for me is that version 2 has a tabbed interface, so you can have multiple recipes open.
