Does anyone have the exact specs. on the bolt size for this part? I want to ditch the Brewmometer so I can use an immersion chiller.
I imagine I could use the rubber gasket that came with the Brewmometer.
Why can’t you use the chiller and thermometer?
I suppose I could, but the chiller wouldn’t be able to get down past the Brewmometer stem. It’s quite high on the Boilermaker, right around the 5 gallon mark.
Wow. Didn’t realize the thermometer was mounted so high and the probe was so long.
I use mine with an immersion chiller regularly. Your chiller must be rather large. I like that I can just watch the fermometer to see my current temp while cooling.
I would suspect that the hole is 1/2" diameter.
My guess we be closer to 7/8". Pretty sure that is what they use for their valves with the weldless bulkhead.
