I have a Blichmann 240v brew system on the hot side, SSbrewtech fermentation. The boilcoil on the boil kettle has failed and Morebeer! is still sifting through the details involving the asset purchase of Blichmann. No idea if they will support this product. Anyone know the latest here, or who the manufacturer is of the Blichmann boil coil?

That’s tough and sucks a lot.
Did you test the boil coil resistance? A 4500 watt element should be @ 13 ohms. The other ways they fail is a fault to ground, measure the resistance between the element input to element (ground) and it should show an open. If not, it will trip a GFI if one is used.
Replacing the boil coil is tough because of the physical mount and plug. Aside from the used market, it’s going to be tough because of the heater configuration unique to Blichmann. I guess if it tests bad, it might be time to work on adapting a more standard configuration of a 1.5" tri-clamp heater and plugging the holes from the original.

Good luck, working on stainless isn’t always fun, but if you want to get rid of proprietary and go generic, this may be the best route. Or get a new kettle.
