I suppose it’s possible. I’ve never had one and hope I never do.
That’s too bad but glad to see they did the right thing by owning up to it and telling consumers to avoid the bottles.
When I think of bottle bombs I always first think of Jester King’s first sour bottling in which 750ml champagne bottles were exploding. Those things are rated to at least six volumes. You really have to get your bottling wrong to blow those up.

Although in that case, they had a well-documented ongoing contamination issue that was the cause.
That is the shop where we buy beer. I do remember that incident.
